I'm baaaacccck.... (maybe...?)
I'm back with a review of Julep's Party's Over Glitter (Gel) Nail Polish Removal Kit ($28 or $22.40 as Julep Maven, or I believe $19.99 as an monthly add-on). If you are clueless as to what I'm talking about, I'll discuss down below.

I had gel nail polish on so I thought it'd be the perfect time to put these in to use and show you guys how it's done. It really caught my eye because most of glitter and gel removal involves aluminum foil. I've tried that in the nail salons and at home and I just don't dig it. And these look so much cooler!

It comes with 10 finger nail caps which seems to be made of rubber/foam? 5 packets of nail polish remover infused pads (10 each).

So here are my gel nails before my removal.

The instructions in the back. You open the packets and place each of the nail polish remover infused pads and cap it with the caps.

But first, you should file away some of your gel polish so the nail polish will remove the gel or glitter faster.

Then put the polish remover infused pads on your finger.
Tip: You may need to kind of wrap it around your finger to keep it in place. And put the cap on your finger. There are two big ones for your thumbs.

You can tell the thumb is a little bigger. Now keep it on for few minutes...

Check to see if the polish has separated from your nail bed. If it has not, DO NOT force it off your nail bed. It can take a layer off your nail bed. Instead file more and put the pad and the cap back on.

If it has separated, it should like below. Take a wedger or cuticle pusher and push the polish away from your hands and it should pop right off very easily.

And Voila!

My thoughts on the nail caps: I liked the nail caps a lot. It saves me from using and cutting up foil and trying to wrap it back on to your hands after you check to see if your gel polish is coming off. And the nail caps are totally reusable and washable. Only bad thing is, I'm kind of SOL if I lose one. :( I have to make sure to keep all of them in a bag.

Acetone, aloe-vera infused pads: These suckers are definitely not strong enough for gel nail polish remover. You definitely need something stronger like 100 % acetone. I ended up soaking the pads in acetone for more efficient removal. I have tried it with regular glitter polish and it worked a lot better, but I still prefer my good 'ol 100% cotton and acetone. I still have 2 packets left, but I'll probably save those for when I'm traveling.

Pricing: It is a little pricey. But considering there aren't anything out there that looks like this, you are basically paying for the idea. I have to give it to Julep tho. They do come up with really cool ideas (like the Plie wands that are coming out in May!)

Overall: I paid $19.99 as a monthly add-on. I think it's totally worth it at low $20 something price. Especially if you do a lot of glitter or gel polish AT HOME. If you get them done professionally, then you won't need them. For me it's worth it. And I dig it!

If you are not a Julep Maven (which basically means you signed up as a member of Julep monthly program), you have to pay the full $28.00. But if you want to sign up, you can sign up and get the first box FREE. You can cancel at any time, but if you are just signing up, then you can only skip the monthly boxes every six month. Before this change, you were able to skip at anytime. I signed up early on when Julep just launched, so I can skip whenever I want. But if you want this as your monthly add-on, it may be worth it to sign up and cancel later. Monthly boxes are $19.99 with free shipping. You get nail polishes to eye shadows, scrubs, lip gloss, eye liners, etc... And are all created by Julep! It's a pretty cool program. Go check it out. Also I get referral points, so please use my referral link if you'd like. No pressure! :) And who wouldn't want to get a box for free right? Also I should add, since Julep is sold at Sephora Stores, maybe there's a chance it may hit the stores directly? We shall find out.....

And if you follow me on instagram, you probably saw my Marc Jacobs Daisy inspired nails. Here's a close up! I used the Nicole by Opi- Carrie Underwood collection in Carrie'd Away. Super glittery and beautiful shade of gold. It almost mimicks a gold gel polish!
I posted a picture on my instagram & facebook when I was testing out some new liquid eyeliners and everyone asked which one I liked the best... I held out because I wanted to write a blog post and didn't think it was going to take me this long. So here we go.

Here is the big reveal of what was drawn on my hands. (just FYI the Sephora one is only "smudgeproof, not waterproof")

Typically I use Japanese brand liquid eyeliners (dollywink, 24 hr tattoo) with a felt or pointed tip in liquid form but I've been using gel liners on a daily basis that the liquid eyeliner that was in my makeup bag had already dried out. Liquid eyeliners are much more easier and faster to use because you don't have to clean your brushes and you can easily use them on the go. I've been kind of lazy and wanted to switch out from gel from time to time, so I went into Sephora and picked up whole bunch and started testing it on my hand.

Here's the break down of the pictures: Stila ($20), Marc Jacobs ($30) and NARS ($27) have slight shine to it, while Make Up For Ever (MUFE) ($23) and Sephora Smart Liner ($14) are very matte.

Waterproof test:
I ran my hand through a running sink and none of them bled right away. Sephora Smart Liner was the first one to disappear when I started rubbing it. But as I said before, Sephora doesn't claim that it's waterproof, but regardless not too bad.

Smudgeproof test:
When smudged without water, none of them really seemed to smudge. They all stayed intact. But after a long time of rubbing, they start to flake off and MUFE was first to flake off. But you shouldn't be rubbbing your eyes like that expect your eyeliners to survive (just sayin').

Color test:
They were all pretty dark. I've seen some liners that claim that they are black but they are not black enough for me.... But the five I chose was amongst the darkest eyeliners I've seen.
Color wise Darkest was:
1. Sephora Smart Liner (matte)
2. Marc Jacobs Precision Liner (shiny)
3. Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner (matte)
4. NARS Eyeliner Stylo (shiny)
5. Stila (shiny)

Miloberry Picks:
From the 5 eyeliners tested, I liked Marc Jacobs and the Sephora Smart Liner the best. But this could be matter of preference, because I like certain type of felt tip and my expectations may be different from yours. For me the important factors are that they are long wearing (because my eyes water) and they are super black, and the tips give me precision and control when I draw my cat eye. But between the two, I'll pick Marc Jacobs Precision Liner. I love it. When I tested two of them, this is what happened on one eye watering morning. I was testing Sephora first and this happened. I tried reapplying but below kept happening.

So I tried applying Marc Jacobs Precision Liner and I was able to fix the problem. Yay!

Here are my quick thoughts on each of the liners.

Marc Jacobs Precision Liner ($30):

1. It was super black in color (it is on the shiny side)
2. Waterproof... survived my watery eyes
3. The packaging of this eye liner feels like a Monte Blanc of eyeliners. Yes it's pricey, but it's super duper nice on your eyes. The felt tip is just perfect.
I'll try to do more detailed review later if you'd like. Please let me know!

Sephora Smart Liner ($14):

1. It's cheap and performs well at $14!
2. Super black and matte
3. The handle takes a little getting used to, but I can deal with it.
4. I didn't like the packaging (i.e. tip and the cap, felt very cheap)

MUFE Aqua Liner ($20): (I HATED THIS- RETURNED IT!)

It was nice and black, waterproof, but it got crusty on my eyes and started flaking off when I tried to reapply after it was dried. And the cap got crusty and flakey on my second use. I returned it. Also the tip kinda hurt my eyes. :( I have this in another color and I'm okay with that... may be cuz I don't use it everyday....

NARS Eyeliner Stylo ($27)

This one was nice, but for the price, it felt a more over priced version of the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner with bigger felt tip and the color was a bit more darker than Stila. I'd probably pass on this if I could pay $3 more and buy Marc Jacobs.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($20)

I think this is a good performing eyeliner at a good price point. But I wish the color was a little bit more black and the eyeliner seems to dry out fairly quickly. This one is very very very similar to the Japanese Eyeliners I get (dollywink, 24hr. Tattoo) except I think the Japanese ones are bit more black. And they are both priced very similar to one another. I wouldn't be surprised if they are made by the same company!

If you are not familiar with Sephora's Beauty Insider Program, and you shop at Sephora, go sign-up at the stores or on-line. It's a free membership program and you gets perks by racking up points.

Couple of weeks ago, Sephora revealed their new tier of points program, VIB Rouge. There are 3 tiers.
1. Beauty Insider
2. VIB
3. VIB Rouge

To qualify for VIB status, which is one above, Beauty Insider, you have to spend more than $350 in the calendar year to qualify for the current year and the next calendar year. (for example, if I qualified today, my membership is covered till 12/31/2014)

To qualify for the new tier, VIB Rouge, you have to spend more than $1000 in the calendar year to qualify for the current year and the next calendar year.

So what are the new perks of being a total shopaholic?

All the perks of a Beauty Insider and VIB
Pretty shiny red card that says you spend a lot at Sephora.
Bite Beauty Lipstick in miniature size
Special Gifts just for VIB Rouge
Free Shipping at Sephora.com no minimum required (this is a big deal for me! Hate paying for shipping!)
Free beauty consultation/ makeover without minimum purchase
Special Events just for VIB Rouge
Your own person concierge on the phone (less wait)
And just recently, last week VIB Rouge received 4x the points, while Beauty Insider got 2x and VIB got 3x.

Now I didn't purposely try to qualify for this. I am a little ashamed of the fact that I spent so much. But since I did qualify, I will take a full advantage of my VIB Rouge status. LOL

Tips on becoming VIB Rouge
So let's say there's no way in hell you are gonna spend $1000 in a calendar year. But you still want to become VIB Rouge, here are some of my tips I came up with to help you achieve this goal.
1. Someone's birthday coming up? Buy birthday, thank you and Christmas gifts from Sephora and rack up the $$$$ spent here. They have everything from shower, perfume, hair, skincare, makeup, mens shaving products, skincare... pretty much everything a girl or guy needs!
2. If you are buying makeup, skincare, perfume from Department Stores or elsewhere, switch all of that over to Sephora.
3. Do your friends, mom, family, men in your life need something and they don't have Sephora Beauty Insider membership? Have them use your membership. Just tell them to give the register your e-mail address so you get the credits.
4. Do you want to save up to 8% at Sephora? Sign-up for Ebates. You get rebate every time you shop on-line. The 8% rebate does not get discounted on the gross amount you are spending at Sephora.

Lastly, this is what I received in my box. If you get this box from Sephora.com, you don't get a membership card, so go to the actual store and get one if you want the physical card.
The names of their products are hilarious! Sexy Mother Pucker! hahahaha
Today I'll be reviewing their newest addition to the lip products, Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick ($16). If you are familiar with their product, you may have seen their lip plumping lip glosses, Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss. I have one, but I didn't like their lip gloss. Very tingly and thick consistency (I don't like thick lip glosses).

I saw FleurdeForce talk about this and since then I had to have it. For the people in UK they had access to this earlier, but for the folks in the US it just hit the Sephora stores. I pre-ordered mine from Sephora.com (I'm so impatient....) and I had it for about two weeks now and I can't put it away!

They come in three colors, Plum Jam, Nudist, Fuschia-ristic. They remind me Clinique Chubby Sticks, or of many stain, gloss sticks from various brands (Revlon, Neutrogena, Covergirl).

What it is:
A super moisturizing lip crayon that glides on effortlessly and wraps lips in a luscious wash of creamy color.

What it does:
This buzz-free formula is packed to
plump, promising fuller, more luxurious-looking lips, without the tingle
of most plumping glosses. The high-pigment color stays put—no smudging
or bleeding—making sure your high-gloss, shiny finish wears long into
the night.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Phthalates

Research results:
- 96% of testers felt their lips were more moisturized after use
- 88% of testers agreed their lips had an instant glossy finish
- 86% of testers found their lips looked fuller after use

I have it in Nudist which is a peachy nude color and Plum Jam which is a slightly plummy color (little bit reminds me of Clinique Black Honey).

Picture below is in the order of Plum Jam, Nudist, and Fuschia-ristic.

My Thoughts:
I love this gloss stick! It is super shiny, super hydrating, and the colors are great for everyday wear. I can wear this all day long without reapplying and it won't dry out my lips. While they still have pigmentation, it is still sheer and really natural looking. I'd say that it does not feel like it plumps up my lips nor do I feel any tingling sensation (with many lip plumping products). But it still looks plump and full due to the color and the shiny gloss. It is a twist up and you don't need to sharpen which is very similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick, but I feel like the Clinique Chubby Stick dries out my lips a little bit if I don't reapply through out the day.

I have been wearing this everyday like a mad woman and loving every minute of it! Definitely a lip product I could never get sick and tired of. If you are looking for a good nude colored gloss or lipstick, I highly recommend Nudist! Also if you really enjoy hydrating lip products like Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, you will absolutely love this (S&G Gloss stick is $6.50 cheaper). I might just have to get Fuschia-ristic as well to complete my collection. :)
They don't work for my straight stubborn asian lashes because they just fall straight and even though they may give me extra length and volume, they just make my lashes straight! Which is a deal breaker for me. Thought I give it last try. I figured Shiseido is Japanese and it may cater better to asian folks.

This is Shiseido's Nourishing Mascara Base ($24)

Their claim from their website:

Description:

Create unprecedented impact by dramatically intensifying mascara finish. Enhances the volume, length and curl of every lash.

DERMATOLOGIST AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST-TESTED.

INTENSIFIES VOLUME, LENGTH AND CURL

CONDITIONS AND MAKES LASHES MORE SUPPLE

PROVIDES ELEGANT GLOSSY FINISH WHEN WORN ALONE

The packaging looks like any other mascara. When opened, the brush is slightly slim, appears easy to work with, and the product appears to be clear (slightly gray?) gel type and not white like other mascara primer/bases are. It reminds me of more fluid version of vaseline (but I assure you it's not).

APPLICATION
Applying was easy breezy. I did not get it all over my eyelids thanks to the slim mascara brush, and it seemed to coat every one of my lashes. In the before after pictures below, I applied the base to both eyes, and paired it with Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume Mascara. And it applied well over the mascara base because there was no white base to cover up like the other bases (Dior, Tarte, Lancome, L'Oreal). Also I've noticed that the mascara glided over my lashes with the base rather well. As Shiseido claims, this really can be worn alone if you want natural tint to your eyelashes. If you are thinking you can just use clear mascara for that, umm sure you can, but this base has many more functions and benefits than that. And HELLO CURL and LIFT in my lashes! Till this day, I have yet to find a mascara primer/base that will hold the curl!

AFTER MASCARA APPLICATION
The first time I used this, I saw noticeable difference and was utterly shocked that it actually held the curls and kept it way up! Lash gods have answered my prayers! Since then, I have experimented with my favorite mascaras to unfavorable mascaras, and Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base worked well with every single one of them, even non-waterproof mascaras! (FYI- I ONLY wear waterproof mascaras or my lashes don't stay up or hold its curl.) But thanks to this mascara base, I can venture out to non-waterproof mascaras!!!! THANK YOU LASH GODS~! I will also mention that it keeps my lashes really soft and supple as it claims. And it doesn't clump up like some mascara bases do.

BEFORE with only lashes curled
MY THOUGHTS
I think you already know that this is Miloberry approved! And I will tell you that after using it for about a month everyday, my lashes are longer and little bit fuller (it might be that my lashes are just growing) but regardless, my lashes look thousand times better and satisfying with this mascara base.

It does everything that Shiseido claims it'll do.
Intensifies volume, length and curl - CHECK!
Conditions and makes lashes more supple- CHECK!
Provides elegant glossy finish when worn alone- CHECK!

I can't say that this is the best mascara primer/base out there in the market, because my stubborn lashes just hates the ones that can't hold the curl (which are all of them except this one). BUT I will say this is the best primer for stubborn straight lashes like mine. So it is the best one for me. ^____^

I will never ever ever live without the Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base ever ever again. It is a must have at all times in my makeup collection from now on. Also this product expires in 24 months, which I doubt it'll last that long for me since I'd be wearing it everyday!

Available for $24 at Macys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Sephora.com (Online Only).

Side note: That's how you can tell how long make up "should" last. Look for this symbol with Number and M on it. Number equals the number of months it'll last from the moment you open the product.

Do you use mascara primer/base? Do you know of any that keeps the curls? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
So when I heard that they were coming out with a new concealer for underneath the eyes, I've begun to wonder if it will beat out my beloved Benefit's Erase Paste. It's supposed to be super hydrating, some are claiming it might be too hydrating. They are being sold on HSN and Benefit's website, but I'm gonna wait until it hits the stores, so I can see it for myself. They will come in 3 different shades, light, medium, and deep. Comes in a lipstick like tube with moisturizing balm in the outside and with concealer in the middle.
I can't wait to try it and see how it compares to my beloved Erase Paste. :) Are you excited or have you tried it yet?
This was a special box because these were items the blogger, the man repeller picked out. There were some exciting full size items in this box! Even the box was different from the usual pink glossybox.

There were two full size items. Tarte natural cheek tint (available March 2013) and OPI Liquid Sand from Mariah Carey Collection.

I was mostly excited about the Tarte natural cheek tint. In the winter I use cream blushes a lot and I've been really loving Tarte products! I haven't really tried out this product yet, but this product is very shiny and it feels rough when I swatched it. :( Hope it works out better when I try it out. It's really a pretty color though.

OPI Liquid Sand from Mariah Carey Collection. I was really glad I got this because I was really contemplating buying this but I figured these are one of those gimmicks or a trendy phase, so I didn't bother. But perfect way to try it. It's supposed to be glitter bomb with a matte finish.

Rest of the smaller sample size. I know the Le Metier De Beaute is expensive, but I hate little packet samples. bleh... but the remainder of the items were good travel size. I haven't tried Estee Lauder mascaras in awhile, so that should be fun.

What a long name! I got this Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation early January and had plenty of time to test this out. You may notice from my foundations review, that I don't really use drugstore foundations. My biggest fear is getting the wrong color!!! But since Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation, I was pleasantly surprised with drugstore foundation, so decided to give it a go. Typically when I think of Covergirl, I don't think of foundations (probably mascaras), but you may be surprised this review and the performance of this foundation.
(if you want to get to before after pictures, just go straight to the end of this review. :)

WHAT IT CLAIMS
All-in-one foundation with a long-lasting formula that fuses primer,
concealer, and foundation in one easy step! The 3-in-1 formula provides a
flawless look that lasts all day long.

All day, longwear formula

Primer, concealer, and foundation in one

Smooth, flawless finish

SPF 20

COLORS
This foundation comes in impressive range of 16 different shades ranging from fair to dark. Enough colors for everyone or wide range of skin tones. From what I can tell, it does appear more pink cooler undertone, but there are few shades with slight yellow undertones. And if you are much darker skintone there is Covergirl Queen (Latifah) Collection All Day Flawless 3 in 1 version.

I picked up Buff Beige (#825). It has slight yellow undertone, and I was lucky enough to pick the right color. It matches me really well. As a reference, I'm about MAC NC20-25, Revlon Colorstay Whipped in Nude Beige (#220), Make Up For Ever HD Foundation #117 or #120, YSL Le Teinte Touche Eclat in B30.

PACKAGING
It comes in a glass packaging with pump and a cap. Pump can be locked and unlocked, so if the cap comes off, you won't have any accidents. I'm loving that fact that this drugstore foundation comes with a pump. It is easy to control. This packs in regular standard 1.0 fluid ounce of product.

CONSISTENCY
It is a thick liquid foundation. It's not too fluid because it doesn't run on my hand when I pump, and thick enough that it stays put when I pump it out, yet fluid enough to blend easily. It also gives you enough time to blend and buff your foundation before it sets.

COVERAGE AND FINISH
It claims medium to full coverage. But I find that I get plenty of coverage with one pump and one layer. Other than my undereye concealer, I did not use additional concealer in the pictures below. You'll see that it has full coverage. It covered my freckles, dark spots, and my blemishes. It really blends like a dream with slightly silicone texture. As it claims, it has a lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer and blendability of a foundation. When you first apply, it doesn't set right away, so you have teeny teeny dewy finish for few minutes. Then it sets to a matte finish. I wouldn't say completely matte, because without powder I still see a slight glow and dimension to my face. And as day goes by when it really sets to my skin and mixes with my facial oil, it starts to look really nice and almost natural. It doesn't settle in my lines or pores. It stays on really well without making my face oily or seeing any separation for about 12 hours. I find that it looks better without powder as it's matte already. I do use loose powder to set my concealer underneath my eyes.

Now for some before and after pictures. As mentioned, I did not use concealer on my blemishes and you can see that it is fully covered. Also it stayed put all day and I did not need to touch up at all up to 12 hours!!!
MY THOUGHTS

I was very surprised by this foundation and major kudos to Covergirl!!! They really did a fantastic job of creating a solid foundation. Because this foundation is matte, it'll appeal more to normal to oily skin. I have normal to dry skin, a bit more dry these days, yet this foundation works well without drying out my face, or accentuating my fine lines or pores. It looks good all day. I can apply this foundation with a buffing brush or fingers effortlessly. If you have dry skin, make sure you moisturize well before applying any kind of matte foundation.

You can get this foundation at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Ulta, Bed Bath and Beyond. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond for $9.79 which is a little cheaper. But if you are afraid that you are going to be stuck with the wrong color, I'd suggest CVS who has a very flexible no questions asked return policy. Bed Bath and Beyond as well if you have one with beauty department.

Have you ever been stuck without an eyelash curler, or you curled your eyelashes and they fall flat as soon as you put on mascara? Don't fear, you can still curl your lashes or give it an extra lift just by using your finger!

Typically our body temperature is about 97-98 degrees and this heat can help you curl your lashes!

I find this method to work better when I already have my mascara on and fully dried.
1. To give it extra heat, rub your hands, or the fingers together.
2. Place the finger below your lashes, lift them up to where you want the lift or curl, and leave it there for 15-30 seconds.
Voila! Lift off! Hope you enjoyed my tip of the day, and I wish everyone a wonderful Valentine's Day!
I have gray hair near my bangs, so I always have to dye my hair every couple of weeks. I was too lazy to do it myself, so I used to get them done at a salon, then it got way too expensive. So for the last couple of months, I have been only doing touch ups at home, but saw this opportunity to change my hair color and lighten it little bit from black to dark brown.

These were on sale at CVS for $8.99 (originally $10.49) and with coupons I only paid $5. What can I say, I'm a savvy shopper. :) In order to do my full head, I typically need two boxes, but I opted for one, and thought maybe I'll just do a touch up.

When I began to mix the developer and colorant, I noticed that it was a little difficult to know if you have squeezed everything out from the developer (which felt like any hair gel/cream dispenser), because you can't see inside. I spent good 2-3 minutes to ensure I squeezed everything out, but more product kept coming out when I tried to stop. And the colorant comes in a aluminum tube. So if you start squeezing from the bottom near the mouth of the tube, you are a bit skrewed, because the aluminum tube are hard to unflatten. So that was quite a task. I love the humongous mixer. The gloves were not flimsy, but felt a little tight even for my regular asian hands. LOL

Biggest seller for me was the scent. Due to lack of strong chemicals like ammonia, or maybe because it's 60% oil, it didn't have a strong chemical scent that attacks your nose and forces you to open all windows in your home in the middle of winter. I think I wouldn't die of strong scent even if I closed my bathroom door. It actually smelled pleasant and flowery. I loved it.

Now all it had to do was pass the test and cover my grays. I picked up color dark brown, 4.0 (versus 1.0 which is black). I typically would have gotten 2.0 (natural black) but wanted to see if dark brown would cover my grays and I wanted to lighten my hair a little bit.

While dying my hair, I dropped the bottle couple of times. While the roundness is cute, when your hands have the slippery solution on it, and my regular sized asian hands had a hard time grasping the big round bottle with precision. The solution wasn't too liquidy or too thick. It squeezed out like mayonnaise. :) I concentrated on my roots and grays, and surprisingly, I had enough to cover my entire head/hair (you have to remember I have a lot of hair and it hits my waistline). If I were to do my entire head next time, I'd probably pick up two boxes. I noticed that the solution on your hair start to turn a little dry and start to feel like dry oil. I'm guessing this is normal. But my long hair felt so stiff and stick straight.

After 20 minutes, I was instructed to massage my scalp without water with gloves on, and rinse until it runs clear. When it hit water, it reminded me of my Shu Uemura or Shiseido Face Cleansing Oil. The solution turned milky white and it rinsed off quite easily. After the rinse, my hair still felt dry, so I slathered on tons of the conditioner it came with. Left it on for good 5 minutes while I finished showering, and my hair felt normal again. And my hair smelled gooood.

I'm happy to report that it covered my gray hair and lightened my black hair a bit.
Before and After Pictures. (Yes, my gray hair is really bad, I got it from my Papa)

My Thoughts: The results of this hair dye is fantastic. Garnier Olia, I likey you. After I blow dried my hair, my hair felt softer and that dry feeling went away. My grays were covered, my bathroom didn't stink of nasty chemical odor. Definitely a lot of Pros with this product, and definitely outweighs the Cons.

Pros:
1. Ammonia free- less harmful for your hair
2. Smells nice and flowery
3. Covers grays
4. Colors well
5. Comes with nicely conformed gloves

Cons:
1. Bottle is too big to hold (I'm being really picky here I know)
2. Tubes were not easy to squeeze out the products to mix
3. Makes your hair feel like you put on dry oil (during application)

Obviously, I'm really trying hard to list the cons here (can you tell?). But overall, I'm happy with Garnier Olia and I highly recommend it if you are a hair dyer like me. Finally a less harmful way to dye your hair without spending tons at the salon. I'm definitely going to use this product to continue doing root touch ups at home.
I saw the collection, and I was so blown away by the beautiful colors. Flower philosophy is to keep the cost of the products down by not paying for advertising. They also use same ingredients used in luxury makeup and some products are made of real flower. Also they are produced in the good 'ol USA and never tested on animals. Also this brand is sold exclusively at Walmart and Walmart.com. I think the official launch date was January 31st, but I've seen other bloggers seeing items at their local stores (limited items) and I ordered mine through Walmart.com. All the items were priced starting at $6.98 and doesn't go above $13.98. Apparently a lot of the items are sold out already! Goodness! I'm so excited for this brand and Drew Barrymore! (Loooooove her!)

So here are few items I was able to get. This is just a first impression and quick swatches.

I ordered the Flower Color Play Creme Eyeshadows, Win Some, Rouge Some, Creme Blush, Kiss Stick, High-Shine Lip Color. The Color Play Cream Eyeshadows packaging look very similar to L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, but they are a bit different.

Swatches of the Flower Color Play Creme Eyeshadows. They come in a glass jar with white top.
From left to right:
Lilac You a Lot (irridescent purple), Midnight Garden (black, grayish with sparkle), Awesome Blossom (slightly metallic chocolate), Mum's the Word (rusty pink). As you can tell they are quite pigmented, minus Lilac You a Lot. Also the consistency of the shadows are very light and airy, so I'd say it feels like a cross between creme and mousse. It's not like the Maybelline Color Tattoos.

Walmart packed my package in the most horrible way possible and these got tossed around like popcorn in a humongous bag, so it's quite messy, but this is what it looks like when you open them. This is in color Awesome Blossom.

This is the Win Some/Rouge Some Creme Blush in Peach Blossom. This one isn't that creamy, but I'd say a cross between cream and powder. It definitely finishes powdery and that's their claim. It's a very pretty peach, perfect for spring.

And last but not least, the Kiss Stick, High Shine Lip Color in Sweet Peony. I read in an interview that Drew Barrymore said this is one of her faves, so I had to have it! It's a peachy creamy lipstick with slight pink sheen to it. Really pretty. it's a bit light even for my skin, but I can make it work for the spring. lol

Swatches of the lipstick in sweet peony on the left and the blush in peach blossom on the right. Doesn't it scream SPRING IS HERE?

So that's my first impression of the Flower Cosmetics by Drew Barrymore. I'm going to have to try them out to do a review. Maybelline just released a new line in the Color Sensational line- Vivids in 10 new colors. This Vivids line have brighter, vivid pigments, yet same creamier feel from nourishing honey nectar.

Vivids line comes with a bright red cap, but same shape as the other Color Sensational lines (some come in silver, deeper red caps, etc...)

COLOR
I chose Hot Plum (#900) which looks to be a plum color in the tube, almost fuscia, however when put it on it looks almost hot pink. (I don't know why but it keeps reminding me of MAC Candy Yum Yum, perhaps the shiny version)
As you can tell it definitely is a vivid color and has slight sheen to it and dimension. Depending on which angle you look at it, it looks different. This is a very fun color. When you are feeling down, or just want a fun look, this color will definitely do it for you.
FORMULA
It glides on smooth as any other Color Sensational Lipsticks. It is nice and moisturizing with the honey nectar formula. This Vivids line definitely is vivid and very pigmented. And Hot Plum is definitely opaque.

LASTING POWER
I didn't expect this color to last very long, because Maybelline doesn't promise long wearing. But surprisingly this lasts all day. I do apply mid-day for moisture and extra shine. And this does transfer, however it doesn't smudge all over my face throughout the day which is always a plus when wearing a bright bold color such as this. I'm all about maintenance-free lipsticks. Also I was able to apply precisely just straight off the lipstick, and didn't need lipliners or lip brush. While this lipstick doesn't totally dry out my lips, it does get drier, if you don't reapply. I'd definitely recommend reapplying throughout the day or apply lipgloss.

Overall, I'm impressed with the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Hot Plum. It definitely did not disappoint. I will definitely be picking up more of these. And I'm like totally obsessed with this color! Also it doesn't hurt to get compliments and be noticed. :)

If you haven't seen my matching nail color (Rimmel 60 Second) with this lips, check it out on my facebook. I don't know how it happened, but it was a perfect match with my nails. :)
Olay CC Cream ReviewEveryone knows BB Cream was such a big phenomenon in Korea and other parts of Asia and has now made it's way to the US and now everyone and their mamas are making one (I don't think any of the non-Korean BB creams are what they claim to be, IMHO). Pretty much all the makeup brands, even drugstores brands have one of their own (Smashbox, Bobbi Brown, Maybelline, Garnier, Revlon, etc...).

So what is next? CC Cream? CC stands for Color Control, or Color Correct. Honestly, I haven't heard a peep from the motherland (Korea) about CC Cream, but I have been seeing a slight buzz about the "NEXT BEST THING AFTER BB CREAM" is CC Cream in the magazines and the web. I think the Westerners got pissed off about not creating BB Cream first... so now they are trying to beat anyone else to it! haha

I heard Oil of Olay had released their CC Cream, Total Effects 7 in 1 Tone Correcting Moisturizer with SPF 15 in three different shades and also Olay CC Cream- Total Effects Daily Moisturizer + Touch of Foundation.
I found them at CVS for about $22.00 which isn't cheap. But this was the CC Cream in the US, so I got it while CVS was giving back $10 for spending $30 on P&G Products, and I had loads of coupons. :) Since I have been trying this out, thought I do a quick review for you guys.

MY THOUGHTS:

The consistency of this product was very liquidy even though it dispenses as a cream. I guess it's because this product has skincare gel formula mixed in with the slight color cream. Right off the bat I was able to tell this was going to be a sheer coverage and it was. But I still thought let's not underestimate this "NEW CC Cream". But as you can tell in the picture above, it has NO COVERAGE. I have come to a conclusion that perhaps, this particular CC Cream was not meant to be heavy coverage like the BB Cream. Which could be why Olay created the version with foundation added in.

This may help you in slightly masking the redness, but that is about it. After using this for over a week, I have concluded that this is a skincare product, not cosmetic. Unlike the BB Cream, which kind of is both. Also, Olay's CC Cream was meant to be color correcting with length of time. So you are not going to notice any difference instantly. They claim, "instant skin perfecting coverage", but I did not notice any "perfecting" in my skin whatsoever.

I have debated whether to return this back to CVS, but I have noticed that it works well under my foundation, keeping my skin hydrated, and it does have added skincare benefits, so I decided to keep it and use it as a primer.

I have heard TheRaeviewer mention that she got her hands on Chanel CC Cream from Asia, and from the looks of it Chanel's version has much better coverage.

I cannot tell if CC Cream is going to be the next "BB Cream". Because I only have one brand to base this off of. And I get the feeling each brand is going to do their own thing and call it a CC Cream. But based off of Olay's version, I'm going to have to say no. If I see a difference on my skin in the next couple of months, I will do an updated review, but I like my instant skin fixes that BB Cream can provide, and this Olay's CC Cream is not going to cut it.

I wouldn't recommend Olay's CC Cream, especially if you are looking for coverage. I wouldn't bother. This was a total miss for me.
So finally, here it is! I'm at home bedridden with a really bad cold. So since I can lie in bed with my laptop, I thought I work on this long overdue post. :)

From the first time I heard of these to the first time I purchased my first YSL Glossy Stain, there was a long gap, cuz I just didn't think $32 was worth it for a lip product. But boyyyyyy was I wrong!!!

MY THOUGHTS:
I'm still kicking myself in the butt about why I took so long to get my first glossy stain. It really is a revolutionary lip product. It is nothing like I have used before. Although now that these have been out for awhile, there a lot of dupes or alikes, like the L'Oreal Caresse Shine Stain (Aqua Lacquer) and other lip stains. However, I still don't think anything is better than the YSL Glossy Stain.
1. The richness of the colors are just lovely.
2. The color and the shine lasts all day.
3. It hydrating on your lips.
4. Did I mention it lasts all day? LOL
5. Not much of it transfers

It feels very wet and it smells like wine or a bit like grape juice. I like to apply two layers of this. The first layer, I like to apply a little bit and rub it and let the stain settle. Then I'll apply a thick coat to really get the color and shine. Ohhhhhh and it is just so beautiful. And because of it's almost like jelly like texture, when you eat, the color doesn't come off. Multiple times while wearing the red Glossy Stain (#9 Rouge Laque), people have asked the same question. "How is your lip color not coming off after you've eaten?" I didn't know other people noticed something like that, but even they were amazed. Honestly, I can wear this through coffee, lunch, and afternoon and make it to dinner without re-applying and the color and shine will still remain.

I will mention that depending on the color you may choose (the darker colors especially), the color can get darker as it stains. This is the only downside.... I'd recommend trying out the colors first and wait at least 10 minutes before determining the actual colors. I have returned 2 of my glossy stains because the colors changed on me after I have applied. For example, I bought #10, Rouge Philtre which was supposed to be true red color. After 10 minutes I have noticed that the lines on my lips had turned darker and darker. Then it turned into a really dark almost vampy red. Which I did not like. You can see the picture below. Top is right after application and the bottom is about 10 minutes later. You can see the change in color. This is in comparison to #9, Rouge Laque which does not change color.

I now proudly own 4 Glossy Stains. #29, Rouge Forreau (one of the newest colors released recently). This is the only color that is more "natural looking". The other three I own are quite bold. Honestly I think Glossy Stains are the best for dark, colorful shades since dark colors are hard to manage, but due to the staying power, YSL glossy stains are god send.
Because this color isn't as bold, it's also not as shiny.
#9, Rouge Laque. This is an opaque slightly coral red. This is my favorite! When you want to wear red, this is so easy to wear, very flattering to different skin tones, and maintenance free. And just beautiful. I wear this one a lot. I think I have all the colors I want from YSL. I'm happy with the 4 colors I have. But if they come out with more I'd definitely keep my eye out for them. And I'd definitely repurchase these. These Glossy Stains have made me have faith in colorful lip colors that I used to dread, because they are so hard to manage. Glossy Stain is definitely a game changer! I love Glossy Stain!!!

I'm not quite sure of the official name yet. :) I'll do a full review on that and do a comparison of both of these products.

L'Oreal Caresse Aqua Lacquer Shine Stain (YSL glossy stain dupe)I had to do a quick post from my phone cuz I got super excited when I spotted these!

As you may know, L'Oreal owns YSL. I heard that L'Oreal released their version of glossy stain in Paris, France couple months ago and I have been waiting for their release in the US, which I wasn't expecting till next year spring. But while perusing at Walmart I found L'Oreal Colour Caresse Aqua Lacquer for $7.97 ( compared to YSL $32)!

I grabbed 4 to test them out. So far they smell very similar to YSL glossy stain. It has the wine grape smell. I put them on right after purchasing it. So far the staying power is good.

I wiped the swatch off and the stain remained! (See last picture)

I can't wait to test and try out all the different colors!!!!

I'm so excited!!! It's like a Christmas present!!! Hahaha

Happy Holidays everyone!!!! ❤

I always prefer putting on my nail polishes rather than these new nail polish strips that have been quite popular lately. The upside to the nail polish strips is that there is absolutely no drying time and that you get to wear funky nail designs that you wouldn't be able to draw on your nails yourself.

When Sephora was having sales on older nail polish stickers/strips I was able to pick couple of them up for $3 each. And when I tried those, they were actual stickers and my nails felt weird and restricted. And the stickers were quite thick so it kept snagging on my hair, and sweaters. I absolutely hated them and ended up taking them off after 2 or 3 days.

But I never tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. And I was thinking they have to be the same as the Sephora ones. Also they retail for $8.99 to $10.99 each for 16 strips and I didn't want to spend that much on them. I was browsing through TJ Maxx during Thanksgiving and I actually found a nice design for $3.99, so I thought I give them a try.

I found the design I Love Lacey which is a red background with black laces as the design. I thought it was hott and worth trying for $3.99.

It comes with:
- 2 packs of 8 strips in each. One pack is for each side of your hands.
- wooden stick to push back your cuticles
- small nail file
- and instructions

When you open the package there is a strong chemical nail polish smell. Once you open these, you cannot store them away to use later. You should find the size that fits your nails, take the clear plastic off the top and white sticker from the back and place them on your nails. You are going to find that none of them will fit your nails perfectly, but thats okay! I suggest using bigger size rather than a smaller size. Then I used the cuticle stick to get it to adhere and take off the excess. That way your nails are completely covered. Also what I noticed about these nail polish strips were that they were much much thinner than the Sephora ones. They are thin, stretchy and much more moldable. After the application, you fold down the excess at the ends and you can file them off. Then you are done! If you are not use to putting these on, it can take as much time as applying regular nail polish and waiting for them to dry.

The best part was that the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips did not snag on my hair, clothes or anything! They lasted over a week without any of them wearing off except the ends of the nails. I actually took them off before it was ruined. And you can remove them with regular nail polish remover.

All in all, I actually really liked these. They have variety of designs, and they lasted well and they weren't annoying like the Sephora ones. I'm really glad I gave them a try and I will definitely be trying them again. I highly recommend these!!!!

For some tips, if you wanted to get multiple use of these, then try alternating on some of the nails with one package and applying regular nail polish to the ones you did not apply the nail strips. Then save the other pack UNOPENED for later use.

Also as I mentioned above, apply the strips that are bigger rather than smaller for your nails. Personally I don't like my nail bed showing. And these were thin enough to just cleaning them up with the cuticle pusher.

Have you tried nail strips?MiloBerryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07617439494876844896noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1570860759521458027.post-46778127844475628312012-12-10T19:54:00.002-08:002012-12-10T19:54:51.571-08:00GLOSSYBOX (November 2012)Here's what I got for November's Glossybox. The theme for November was Tis the Season to be Glossy.

It also came with the Glossybox magazine.

I received the Incoco Nail Polish Appliques (Nail sticker strips) in full size (retails for $8.00 for 16 strips) in a neutralish brownish taupish color. I'm not fond of this color, but I'm excited to try this brand of nail polish strips. I have tried the Sally Hansen and the Sephora one, and while I loved the Sally Hansen one, I absolutely hated the Sephora stickers. So I wonder which category these will fall into....

Illamasqua LTD, Lip & Eye Medium Pencil in the original size (Retails for $20). I love Illamasqua products (if you haven't heard of this brand, it's a UK brand, and their nail polish, foundations, and anything pigmented are amazing). This is supposed to be dual for lip and eyes and while this is a beautiful color, I don't think I'll be putting this on my lips any time soon. My friend got this pencil in a red color, which I doubt she'll be putting that on her eyes.

Skin &Co. Roma Truffle Serum- Hydro-Toning Face. I'm not sure of the size I received, but definitely it's a deluxe size not full (Full Size retails for $36.00 for 1.01 oz.) Very intrusted to find out what truffle will do to my face. kekekeke

NUME Style Arganics by Nume Argan Oil and I received the 10 ml size. (Retails for $5, and $59.00 in full size which is with 4 oz). This is argan oil for your dry damaged cuticles. I have tried Josie Maran hair oil, so I will be comparing this to Josie Maran oil.

Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher in Rosewood and I received the full size of 2.5 grams (retails for $17). And the swatch below. It's a nice dusty pink, and it reminds me a lot of Benefit's Dandelion. Very natural slight pink. Texture was silky smooth and you can tell it was finely milled.

Then the last two items I received were coupons/gift certificates. This one was a free coupon for something if you signed up for their website, but when I went, I did not see that option, so I guess this one is a waste.

This one sounds awesome. $100 gift certificate towards professional styling tools and hair extensions. However, their products are in the $180- $200 something range, so I guess if you really like their products you can get something for half off.

So that's it for the November's Glossybox! The value of this box is about $70, and if I were to use the gift certificate, it'd be valued at $170! Good value huh for $20 with shipping?

While I found this box to have a lot of products that I can use, other than the Illamasqua eyeliner and the Kryolan blush, I wasn't that excited... but we will see once I use the products.

Hope everyone is enjoying December and getting in the spirit and having a blast celebrating whichever holiday you celebrate! :)MiloBerryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07617439494876844896noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1570860759521458027.post-66745132448822226822012-12-03T18:47:00.000-08:002012-12-03T18:47:29.364-08:00Review: L'Oreal Infallible 8 Hour Le GlossHello all! I can't believe it's December already! So many things going on including my birthday!!!

I wanted to do a quick post on L'Oreal Infallible 8 Hour Le Glosses I got awhile back. I have been really into drugstore makeup lately. L'Oreal also owns YSL (Yves Saint Laurent), and a lot of the times you see a cross over or similarities between the brands, so I thought I give these lip glosses a try. And I got three of the new formulated colors (it'll say "new color" or "nouveau" on the handle).

It comes with a doe-foot applicator with a pointy end at the top which is very similar to YSL Glossy Stain, but Infallible Le Gloss was less sturdier, but still gave you enough control to apply precisely.

I got three different colors- a classic red, pink, and deep plum color.
Classic Red - #320, Red Fatale
Pink - #140, Pink Topaz
Dee Plum - #240, Glistening Berry

FORMULA
The formula is on the thicker side. But understandable since these are supposed to last you for 8 hours. It's not too sticky. After an hour or two, if you keep rubbing your lips together, it does form this strange film that looks sticky.... so the formula seem to change in time. It does have slight scent, but didn't bother me too much.

COLOR & PIGMENTATION
Red Fatale, #320 was very opaque, and super shiny. This was my favorite color of the three I bought. It can be worn completely alone and hide your natural lip color.

Pink Topaz, #140 was very sheer, and I had to apply 3 layers just to achieve this color worn here. It had iridescent shimmer, the rainbowish color that looks different from different angles. It was quite shimmery with flash. But this definitely needs to be worn over something else, like a pink lipstick. As you can see, even with 3 layers, the color is very uneven.

Glistening Berry, #240 was also sheer. Less sheer than Pink Topaz, but again definitely needs to be worn over lipstick. I was hoping this was going to a deep plum, berry color, but it wasn't the case. It was more deeper pink on the lips. This also had shimmer in it. This looked slightly darker than the Pink Topaz, but very similar.

LASTING POWER
It didn't last quite 8 hours, and I kept wanting to take it off to reapply because it does transfer, and in an hour or two, the formula seemed to change and didn't feel stickier, but when you kept rubbing your lips together, it formed a slight layer.

Overall, for $7.99 ( at Harmon inside of Bed Bath & Beyond, and for me it was about $5 each with coupons) it is a good lipgloss. But I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Also it also depends on the color. And as it claims for the 8 hours, I don't think it really last 8 hours since it transfers so much. I think the Red Fatale is gorgeous, so I may wear that again, but I'd have to be careful how I eat, and drink or touch stuff, since this pigmented lip gloss can end up everywhere! I have been loving YSL glossy stain, and I find myself comparing all lip products to that (review coming up next), so these were good, but I don't see myself buying anymore of these.
I luckily had time to visit a friend in San Francisco, and I had been dying to visit the Mothership of Sephora (Sephora's headquarters is in San Francisco). So I dragged my friend to Sephora in Union Square. The reason I wanted to go to this particular store is because they offer foundation match with a special gadget that is only in this location and New York Time Square location. I heard about this special foundation matching that's done in London through Boots, No. 7 Brand, and I knew they had to offer this service in the United States, so when I searched, Sephora came up. Sephora started offering this service in July of 2012 and will be testing it in the two - SF and NY location first before launching it else where.

If you are confused as to what I'm talking about.... Pantone is the master of color matching. If you have painted your house, you'd have most likely heard of it. If you were to take a piece of fabric and wanted a paint that color, Pantone will be able to match it or produce that color for you (I believe.... ). Also recently Pantone has been collaborating with Sephora to create beautiful colorful makeup. Now, they have created a hand held tool based off the Pantone X-Rite Spectrocolorimeter used in the design world. This device takes image of your skin, analyzing and assigning you an official Pantone skintone number. With that number, they will be able to give you a list of foundations carried by Sephora that will match you perfectly! I have tried numerous amounts of foundations of EACH BRAND, just to achieve that, and it was not an easy task. So I knew if I had a chance to go to SF location, I had to try this out.
As soon as I walked into Sephora, I asked for the Pantone Color IQ, and I was directed to a little kiosk in the middle of the store. It had a mirror on both sides, with an iPad placed in each of the sides.

They gave me and my friend face wipes to remove the makeup off our faces. Then they realized I had freckles on my face, and they said there's a chance the images would pick up my freckles too much and I'd end up with darker shade than my face. So I asked them to get images off my decollette, neck area because I like to match my neck and chest area anyways to get more even/natural foundation finish. They thought it was a good idea, so I didn't have to remove my makeup.

You see the device on my neck. This took about 30 seconds to accomplish. Then the little device spit out a color number, which for me was, 4Y06 (medium skintone with yellow base).

Here's the partial color chart that they use. They they put the color number into the iPad, and it spits out the results for the foundation matches for you.

This wasn't my results, but this is a sample of what you'd get on the iPad.

If you see on the left side, it says, matching shade, lighter, redder etc..., so you can get results of other shades that are very similar to that. And change the formula, coverage to narrow your results. Then you can e-mail yourself the results!

The shades/brands I got "perfectly matched" were very limited. It gave me 3 shades from bareMinerals Foundation, Josie Maran Matchmaker Serum Foundation, and NARS Sheer Matte Foundation. And from the NARS Sheer, and bareMinerals foundation that I have already used before, it sounded like the matching was spot on. I also e-mailed results from lighter of my shade since my neck is still a little more tanned than my body, and a little yellower shades. After going through the list of the foundations I have used, the results were spot on. I wish I'd have taken off my makeup and got a reading on my face too, just to see what results it would have given me. So after this FREE service, they offered to make me samples of the foundation.

But overall, I was very happy that I got to go and experience it for myself. It's such a genius device. I hope this goes nationwide to all the Sephora stores soon! It'd make our lives so much easier!!! This new revolutionary makeup, Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup ($62), 8 years in the making, was released in the US early October 2012. I've seen few reviews and it was a very mixed review. But I really wanted to try it. It sounded like something revolutionary and unique. And I'm all about the next best thing. Linda Cantello, International Make-up Artist for Giorgio Armani Cosmetics says, "It's not a foundation, it's a complexion perfector." It is made of 60% oil and 20% pigments, unlike the traditional foundation that consist of 80% oil and 20% water. This product contains five volatile, semi-volatile and non-volatile oils that evaporates at different rates. Sounds really cool doesn't it? I knew I had to try this!

This complexion perfector, (as the Giorgio Armani Cosmetics Make Up Artist calls it) comes in 12 different shades. 3 shades for fair skin, 6 shades for medium skin, 3 shades for dark skin.
I am MAC NC20-25, and the lady matched me to #5.5. And it might be a tad on the darker side for me.
Eventhough it comes in all different shades, this product is made to color match your skin. So I think it's a lot forgiving even if you choose the wrong shade.
PACKAGING:
Maestro Fusion Makeup is in a frosty glass bottle with a dropper. It contains 1 fluid oz., the standard foundation size. Quite different from others since it's not a pump.

CONSISTENCY:
The consistency is very liquidy. You squeeze the dropper once in the bottle, and pour a drop in the back of your hands, and you can see it run. The most liquidy foundation I have ever seen. One drop is enough to cover your entire face with a thin layer.

COVERAGE AND FINISH:
This foundation, or complexion perfector, or fusion makeup is nothing like I have ever tried. When you first drop this on your hand, you see the color, and you see the pigments. When you start blending into your face it disappears. It is very sheer but only enough to correct minor skintone issues. It does not cover. As you are blending into your face, you can see that the feel of this liquid is changing. You can feel the oils evaporating. It feels absolutely silky smooth. And you cannot tell that you have makeup on. From other reviews I have read, it says that it's best when you let this sit/adjust on your skin for 5-10 minutes, because it can look a little powdery at the beginning. For me that wasn't the case. It looked just fine immediately and the same 5-10 minutes later. This did not cover anything, as the coverage is very very sheer. It was only enough to slightly even out the redness. I layered it 3 times, using my fingers. Coverage was the same as it was the first and second layer. Finish very very natural and slightly glowy. It remained natural and sheer all day like I wasn't wearing any makeup on my face. But when I accidentally put a paper on my face (at work), I saw that it transferred onto the paper. Strange because it didn't even look like I was wearing makeup yet I saw color on the paper. It didn't make my nose, T-zone any oilier than normal without powder. It also did not dry out my face. It seriously felt like I was not wearing anything!

Before & After without flash- in natural light. You can see that it covered up minor redness. Note the pimple on my chin. You can still spot it. And for some strange reason, it photographs better than it actually looks in person.

APPLICATION:
Before use, you must vigorously shake the product to mix up the pigments. I have tried my fingers and a foundation brush. I liked the feeling of my fingers better as it will warm up the product and help the oils evaporate. But as it claims, you can't go wrong with any method of application.

THIS FOUNDATION IS LIKE:
Actually it's not like anything I have tried before. And this is exactly what Giorgio Armani Cosmetics was trying to accomplish. A foundation, complexion perfector, fusion makeup as they call it, is one of a kind, revolutionary type make up. Which is the main reason I wanted to try it.

GREAT FOR:
I think this would be great for someone who doesn't like the feeling or the look of wearing makeup. But someone who already has great skin, and doesn't have much to cover up and wants a little extra help. Because if you have scars, zits to cover, you'd have to cover it up with concealers and that'd defeat the purpose of wearing undetectable makeup. I think this would be fine on all types of skin- oily, combination, and dry. I think it'll be fine on all ages, as it does not accentuate any lines in particular. Some reviews said it accentuates dry spots, or fine lines, but I'd have to disagree for my skin. But I also keep my skin hydrated and exfoliated at all times. Also this contains silicone, and octinoxate if you are allergic to any of these ingredients.

MY THOUGHTS:
I have to start by saying, this photographs a lot better than it looks to the naked eye. As you can see in the pictures above, it looks as tho it blurrs out the imperfections in photos and looks to make my complexion brighter. But this is not the case in real life (which is unfortunately the world we live in.) I can see all my freckles and sun spots shining through as if I have nothing on. And that's even with 3 layers of undetectable coverage.

I love trying new products especially that's the next up and coming. And from what I heard and tested, it is a one of a kind makeup and this is something that has not been done before. But I definitely need more coverage than what this is giving me. I really really love that this makeup is undetectable, but that'd be great if it actually had better coverage and was undetectable. If it doesn't cover anything, I hope that you can't see anything. LOL Only those with one or two spots to cover and wants to slightly even out their skintone should use this. It was definitely not what I was looking for.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a wonderful product (not the greatest), but I don't think we were meant to be. :) Whatever Giorgio Armani claimed to do, it does just that. And as Linda Cantello states, this is not a foundation. So don't expect the typical foundation results.

Because it photographs beautifully, I'm really on the fence, but I like my face to look flawless in person, and not only in photos. It's a great complexion perfector, but I wouldn't keep it to be used as a replacement for my foundations. I'm glad I tried it though. And when my sun spots get better, I may reconsider then.

TIP:
Also I'd not recommend using any kind of water based product as moisturizer or primer underneath this makeup. Because it's an oil based product, it will not mix well together. It can ball up, or slide all over the place.

WOULD I REPURCHASE:
That would be a no. I'm actually going to return it. I can't justify keeping this since I know it's not for my needs. Especially for $62 and when I know already I won't be reaching for this when I know I want that extra coverage. Unless miraculously my skin becomes perfect. hahaha Sorry Maestro Fusion Makeup... we just weren't meant to be....
Secret Garden Exfoliating Loofa Soap in full size. I think this one is going to be my favorite. It's a loofa built into the soap! Genious! And it smells like grapefruit, and it smells absolutely wonderful!

Last but not least, Modelco Lipduo, lipstick and lipgloss. Not sure of the color. This one was also full size and was valued at $39, so definitely got my money's worth with just this one alone. I like the consistency and the color of this lipduo, but I'm not quite sure of the mirror situation. The mirror is in the middle but the lipstick and lipgloss wand is attached to it, so you can't really look at it while putting this on, which I feel like defeats the purpose of having a mirror on it in the first place.... but whatever the case, this is what I got. :)
