Review: Honeyberry’s Roti Bun

Apparently this Roti Bun is the hot new trend in snacks from Korea, Taiwan, Singapore… and now it has arrived in Santa Clara.  I’m quite surprised that it has not hailed to Los Angeles or Koreatown!

Whatever the case, I was hearing about Roti Buns everywhere on facebook from my Nor Cal friends!  They were raving about how good it was and how it went so well with their hot milk tea, and coffee.  I don’t know how many places sell Roti Bun, but currently, it’s selling out of a Yogurt, Ice Cream, Dessert place called Honeyberry.  (OMG, how cute is the name? hahaha) Funny cuz, Milo’s mom’s name is Honey!

Luckily, my BFF lives in Northern California and was coming down to visit, so I asked her to bring me some.  She warned me that it might ruin my experience since it’s best when it’s fresh. I didn’t care.  I wanted it NOW! more like YESTERDAY! hahaha

It came in this cute little box, wrapped individually.  She brought me two of each kinds.  Regular (no filling), Cream Cheese , and Chocolate.  When I first looked at these buns… my initial thoughts were… “this is it, this funky looking bun is what people are raving about?  It doesn’t even look that yummy!”

It kind of reminded me of Bearded Papa’s.  The box had instructions on how to heat it up.

First I ate the regular one without heating it up.  The top layer had this sugary crisp with a slight hint of coffee taste and the middle was what seemed to be like a regular bread with little bit of sweetness.    At first bite, I didn’t think it was a big deal…but next thing I knew, I finished the whole bun and I was ready for more!!! I’m such a sucker…

(On a side note:  If you think, I love everything, it’s not really true… I only happened to write about things I love on the blog… I should probably put some negative reviews…just so you know… kekekek)

So 5 minutes later, I moved on to the next bun.  This time Cream Cheese.  I placed this one in the Oven as it stated on the box.  Pre-heated the oven to 300 degrees and placed it in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.  The outside was toasty crisp and the middle was quite fluffy right out of the oven! The cream cheese tasted more like peanut butter from one of the Korean pastries… very light… The inside was slightly filled with the cream cheese, which I liked.

Another 30 minutes later, I got hungry again, so I decided to try the Chocolate Filling, but decided to just microwave it.  I microwaved it for 20 seconds.  It fluffed up the Bun!  The Chocolate Filling wasn’t a lot either and this one was also very yummy.

That weekend, I finished all 6 ALLLLL BYYYY MYSELF!

Review:
This light, slightly crispy, fluffy Bun is Fabulous!  I give it two thumbs up!!!
If you live near the area, or if you are gonna be in the area, GO TRY IT! I highly recommend it.  However, I have to warn you, you may be addicted!  I’m craving it just thinking about it!
I’m going up north this weekend, so I’ll finally be able to enjoy the fresh Roti Bun!  Can’t wait!

Review: Philosophy Just Release Me Eye Makeup Remover

I’ve been an avid user of Clinique’s Take the Day Off Eye Makeup Remover for over 10 years now.  None of the Eye Makeup Removers I’ve tried have done a better job than my Clinique Purple Bottle.  I wear Waterproof everything on my eyes, so it’s very important that I get everything off my eyes in the most gentle way possible.

While surfing the Philosophy’s website (with my 40% off Coupon), I’ve decided to try the Philosophy Just Release Me Eye Make Up Remover.  I love Philosophy Products, so I was not hesitant to try this out.

First of all, I love their packaging and their simple names for their products.  “Just Release Me”… doesn’t that sound like it’ll release all the junk off your eyes? hahahah

The front of the bottle reads: Philosophy: from caked on to baked on, from lid locks to grid lock, from dressed up to stressed out, from high shoes to win-lose, from run fast to slow down, it’s time to release your eye makeup and set your sights free.

The back of the bottle reads: dual phase, oil-free eye makeup remover.  Removes the toughest eye makeup, including waterproof; extremely gentle on the eyes; opthamologist tested; safe for contact lens wearers; natural extracts calm and soothe the skin.

The liquid inside was very similar to Clinique’s Take the Day Off.  It had two layers of liquid and mixed when shaken.

Put to the Test:
I tried it for the first time last night.  I took off my right eye makeup with Philosophy Just Release Me, and the left eye with my Clinique Take the Day Off.  I wanted to do side by side comparison.

Clinique’s Take the Day Off was definitely a lot more greasier than the Philosophy Just Release Me.  Philosophy Just Relase was very clean and did not leave any oily residue.  But Clinique’s Take the Day Off dissolved the waterproof makeup faster than the Philosophy Just Release me.

Review:
I’d give it a 4 stars out of 5.  I’d recommend this to someone who doesn’t like greasy eye makeup remover, who are acne proned and staying away from oily makeup removers.  It also is only $18 for 6 fl. oz. which is bigger than the Clinique’s Take the Day Off.  Clinique’s 4.2 fl. oz costing the same at $18.  The formula is extremely gentle and very clean.  And it removed every trace of my waterproof eye makeup!  I’d probably buy it again, but not sure yet if I'd replace my Clinique Purple Bottle.  : P

Eye Makeup Removing Tip:
Don't scrub or rub your eyes with your cotton pad.  Put plenty of (but not soaking) the solution on the pad and place it on your eyes and massage it in to slowly, gently release the makeup.  Then gently hold the pad and remove the pad in a downward motion.  And gently go over wherever you still have residue.  For even gentle application, use cotton swab.

Review: Ovation Cell Therapy System (aka How to Grow Your Hair Faster and Thicker!)

This post has been long over due…. I’ve been meaning to write about one of my favorite shampoo, conditioner, therapy, Ovation Cell Therapy Systems for awhile now, but never got around to doing it.

For those who have never heard of Ovation (they usually advertise on the radio), it’s a haircare system that consists of shampoo, therapy cream, and conditioner.  It claims to nourish your hair and scalp at the cellular levels to help your hair grow longer, fuller, thicker faster and also minimize hair loss.  And their products are gentle and non-toxic.  So you don’t have to worry if you think you are pouring some toxic genetically enhanced stuff to your head.  And what they claim is true and more!

I’ve been using it for a year now, and I love this stuff.  I can’t use anything else anymore…

I just recently got my 3rd batch of Ovation Cell Therapy System.  So I’ll share pictures of the unboxing. ^_^

The box it arrived in...

In Comparison to the 16.9 fl. oz water bottle.  Ovation Full Size is 12 fl. oz.  You may freak out cuz of the size, but I assure you a little goes a long way and it lasts me 6 months!

Shampoo:  It’s a color intensifying shampoo, which naturally enhances your natural hair color.  It restores your hair to its naturally healthy luster and gently removes chlorine and minerals, as well as dirt and excess oil.  It also hydrates and moisturizes without oil or silicone.  It does not contain synthetic polymers, wax, oil or harsh detergents.  Most shampoos in the market contain wax or silicone which just coats your hair making you think you have shiny hair. And it lathers up really well even with little bit of shampoo.

Therapy:  This Treatment nourishes your hair and scalp with essential amino acids, proteins, and vitamins.  It dramatically accelerates hair growth, reduces breakage and hair loss.  Grows, hair faster, stronger.  It can also be used on skin and nail.  (I put it on my eyebrows too! hahaha, it really works!)

Conditioner:  It’s weightless conditioning formula that combines natural emollients to smooth hair cuticles, minimize flyaways and restore body.  Smooth and soften coarse, dry, brittle hair while minimizing tangles and breakage from brushing.

How I use Ovation…
I use the shampoo first, only applying it to the roots, work up a lather and this lathers up really well by adding little bit of water.  Then I work it down to the ends of my hair.  After I rinse, I use the therapy cream only at the root of my hair and scalp, massage it in, comb it down to work it to the ends of my hair.  I put my hair in a bun, while I do the rest of whatever I need to in the shower.  You can also, leave this in for couple hours, if you have the time.  Just make sure you rinse it out in couple hours.  It can harden your hair and cause breakage.  I use the therapy cream only every other wash.  I usually leave it in for 5- 10 minutes.  Rinse thoroughly.  My hair always feels like I don’t need conditioner cuz it’s so soft and moist at this point.  So, I use a little bit of conditioner and only apply it to the hair after the nape of my neck.  Or if you were to put your hair in a low ponytail, that’s where I’d start putting conditioner and to the ends.  I run my fingers through it and I rinse right away.

So now you know how I use it…. Keep reading if you are interested in my experience…

My first encounter…
I first purchased the Ovation Cell Therapy System last year, March 2010.  I was skeptical, but a friend of mine had used it and said she liked it.  Plus they had 365 day money back guarantee.  Everyone on the radio loved it.  They also had 20% off code through KIIS FM Radio.  So I decided to give it a try.

Why I needed Ovation…
In my 20s, I had strong, thick hair despite all the chemical I was putting into my hair on a monthly basis…. dying, perming, blow drying, ironing, etc… But now that I’m older, my hair seemed to be thinning out.  And it was harder for me to grow out my hair.  I wasn’t balding, but my hair definitely felt lifeless, and thin. The back of my head also known as the crown area felt like it was balding.  I even tried getting clip in extensions to enhance the volume, but didn’t last long cuz I didn’t want to constantly put extensions on my head.  Also, all the split ends were catching up to me from blow drying and constantly putting heat to my hair.  So I had to trim my hair every 6 weeks or so, which prevented my hair from ever growing past my regular length.

First month of use…
Everyone that knew I purchased Ovation wanted to know how I liked it.  After using it for a month, I told them I noticed the difference significantly.  I was definitely not losing my regular amount of hair. I knew cuz I collect my loose hair in the shower (so it doesn’t clog my drain).  I was losing only half or even 1/4 of what I was losing before!!!  Not only that, my hair felt light yet strong.  My hair was calmer not frizzy even when I didn’t put non-frizzing products AND it was shiny!  And for whatever reason, my hair dried a lot faster…

Three month of use…
By three months, I was getting compliments on my hair left and right.  My hair had grown significantly, and I no longer had split ends! Which led me to not my trim hair as often and in turn, I was able to grow my hair.  When I went to my stylists for a trim and color, she noticed the difference too.  My stylist and her helper wanted to know what I was doing, and they wanted to buy ovation too.  Previous to this visit, my stylist has been trying to get me to do the Keratin Treatment which costs $250.  She stopped asking me.  Because that’s exactly what Ovation does.  Adding Keratin to the roots and hair.

One year of use…
Now my hair is so long, it hits my waist line.  This is probably the longest I have ever had my hair in my life!!!  I get compliments on my hair even from friends I see on a daily basis.  They are also convinced that it’s thanks to Ovation.  I’m not gonna deny. ^_^  And during the year, I only purchased the System twice.  (every six months).  Which is not bad at all, considering that only costs $100 every six months, compared to all the things you’d pay for at a hair salon for a lot more!

One time I cheated…
The first time I ran out, I went back to my salon brand which costed me about $50 for a shampoo and a conditioner.  The first time I washed my hair, I was disgusted.  I was able to tell, my hair would not be the same!!! It felt squeaky and like there was some sort of wax that coated my hair! It did not feel soft and I had a hard time running my fingers through my hair.  This was strange to me, since this is what I was using before Ovation.  I tried it the second time, and still the same.  I had to go back to Ovation.  That’s when I knew, I couldn’t use anything else…

Improvements…
Bald Spot: I had a tiny baldspot near the bangs from parting it on the same spot.  That is now gone.  All my baby hair actually all grew out and is now covering the baldspot.
Volume/ Thickness: My crown area is no longer a concern.  There’s a lot of hair there and it’s very thick and full.  I don’t even need to tease it or hairspray it now.  Love it!!!
Length:  My hair is longer than Ever!!! Down to the waist!!!
Split Ends:  Ha! What is that?  I don’t have such things!  Even with blow drying and curling my hair, I have no split ends!!!
Shine: My hair has a natural shine, and no frizzes (which is also from not having split ends).  I don’t even have to blow dry with my brushes.  I can just air dry or blow dry with my fingers and hair is still shiny and straight.  Like I did something to my hair!

In this picture, I just finished blow drying my hair with only my fingers.  I normally have wavy hair, but this stuff makes my hair so calm, that it's actually straight!

And this is how full it looks, once I curl my hair.   A lot of people think I'm wearing extensions...

Downside… and the Upside…
The only downside to Ovation is the fact that you have to order this through their Lab in Carlsbad.  Well, you can order on-line.. but you can’t purchase it anywhere else.  And it does cost about $100 for the shampoo, conditioner, and therapy cream.  (but if you use only what you need, it’ll last you 6 months).  However, I think DC Labs/ Ovation is able to give you the high quality ingredients because they are a small lab, not some Fortune 500 trying to make billions while spending a penny.  I truly believe you are getting high quality, non-toxic, gentle ingredients that naturally enhances your hair.

If you order, make sure you sign up with Ovation cuz if you set up for auto ship, you don't have to pay for shipping the next time around!  That's like saving $5-$10!

I know couple of people asked me about Ovation.  Hope this post helps you and make your hair beautiful and healthy! And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or call Ovation / DC Labs.  They really answer the phones and answer your questions.  I called couple of times before I made my first purchase. :)

My Clarisonic Mia has arrived!

The moment I've been waiting for!  After hearing rave reviews about the Clarisonic, I finally got one.  Same makers of Sonic Care Toothbrush.  I remember how Sonic Care Toothbrush changed my life and the condition of my teeth (I tend to brush really hard according to my dentist).  So when I started brushing with Sonic Care, my dentist noticed the difference cuz my teeth near the gums were intact. hahaha  I've used Sonic Care for about 6 years now.  I have never missed a day!!!!

Anyhow... I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money for washing my face, but why not?  I spend money on products and facials for better facial skin.  It cleans pores and takes off make up 6 times better than manual cleanse.  I can't wait to use it!

However, I had to charge it for full 24 hours for the first time, so I haven't had the chance to use it.  I'll report back once I've used it for a month and let you know of how it changed my life. :)

For those who want one for yourselves, try purchasing it at http://www.skinstore.com/.  They offer 20% off on the entire purchase with free shipping over $30 I think.  I stocked up on the brush heads as well.  This was cheaper than anywhere on the web.  Even Amazon.com!

The box

Clarisonic Mia in PINK! (benefits goes to Breast Cancer) and it comes with travel size Gentle Hydro Cleanser

Front view of the Clarisonic

Clarisonic side view with magnetic charger.  (You don't need to plug it into the Clarisonic).  It attaches to the outside automatically.  So cool!!!

Spa Week: April 11th ~17th Mark Your Calendars - $50 Treatments!

$50 Spa Treatments at Participating Spa Week Facilities!!!

Mark your Calendars People!  The List will be announced Monday, March 14th and the booking begins!
They book fast especially on weekends, so decide and book fast!

Check http://www.spaweek.com/ on Monday morning for the list of participating spas.
If you have not been to this site before, it'll require you to sign up with an e-mail as a log in.

I've gotten $100 to $250 spa treatments and massages at some nice Spas in Los Angeles and Las Vegas during spa week for $50!  Great way to try the pricier Spas without getting too disappointed and a dent in your bank account.

I think Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery participates (I mentioned in my previous posts and video).  They have participated in the past but we will find out on Monday!   I highly recommend the Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion.  This normally costs $150.

In Las Vegas, my friends and I were lucky enough to try the new Aria Spa.  Big spas in Las Vegas normally do not participate, but they did last year, because they weren't opened for very long and I think they wanted to get their name out there.  Out of all the spas I've been to in my life, this is my favorite place!  They have infiniti pool style jacuzzi (co-ed) overlooking the outdoor pools of Aria Hotel.  It's like a private pool.  Plus, the water is at comfy 90 degrees, so you can even visit during the cold winter months. :)

And unlike other Spas, Aria Spa has many many co-ed areas.  So if you are just going with your significant others, there are many rooms you can enjoy together.  Even if you don't want to try any of their services, I highly recommend you paying the entrance fee (I think it's either $25 or $30) to use the facility.  It's heavenly.

From my experience, these two places are worth mentioning.

I'll probably go back to Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery MediSpa to visit Pearl or try a new spa!  Can't wait to tell you guys all about it!

Mark your calendars!!!  Go Pamper Yourselves!  You Deserve it! Cuz I said you do! hahaha

Lazy Cooking: How to make my Lazy but Yummy Omlette

I used to love cooking! But I've gotten lazy throughout the years. So when I cook these days, I like things easy and fast. But at the same time I refuse to eat anything that's not Yummy! I'm a picky eater... Meaning I can only eat Yummies. ^_^
I get really hungry in the mornings and have to eat a hearty breakfast, so I made this easy lazy omlette for breakfast the next morning.
This is what you need. As pictured below.
Eggs, already made Pico de Gallo ( fresh kind cuz it's yummier), meat of your choice, I chose pastrami, and Mushrooms.

1. Wash and cut your mushrooms.

2. Cut the pastrami or meat of your choice.  I just used food scissors to cut up my pastrami.

3. Warm up the pan with oil (medium heat) and crack egss directly into the pan.  Once again, for lazy cooking, you don't need to mix the eggs in another bowl.  Why? Cuz that's another dish you have to wash!  It's lazy cooking remember? hahaha  Remember to put your heat in low or medium.  You need time to crack all your eggs and mix in the pan before it starts cooking it all.

4. Then start swirlling your eggs like you are making scrambled eggs.

5. Start adding your meat and mushrooms before the eggs are cooked all the way.

6. When the mushrooms are almost cooked, add your pico de gallo and a little bit of salt and stir.

7.  The mushrooms and pico de gallo can make your omlette a little watery so you can leave the juice out when you transfer onto a plate/bowl.

That's it!  It takes about 5-10 minutes to prep and cook!  It doesn't get any easier than that!
I like to add some tapatio or hot sauce to my breakfast.... ^_^
Enjoy!

Bad Hair Day fix: messy side french braid

I've been talking a lot about makeup and skin care on here but not much about hair... So I'm blogging about my nasty hair day I'm havin today.

Today, my bangs were messed up and I was not in the mood to fix my hair this morning. On days like this I usually put it up in a bun, but didn't want to do that either.  So I remembered watching a YouTube video awhile back about braiding hair, so I've decided to give it a shot.

This is what it looked like. It's a messy, and very easy look. But at the same time it looks like I did something to my hair! ^_^

So to achieve this look...

1. You need some texture for this so if you just woke up, don't brush it. Hahaha or if you must, brush your hair upside down.
2. Part your hair and put all your hair where your braid is going to be. I like to pick my good side. ( you know everyone has a good and bad side!)
3. Grab part of your bangs and some of your hair, about 3-4 inches of your hair and star French braiding to the side of your head. But very loosely. Remember to grab hair all the way from the other side!!!
Then once you reach the nape of your neck or you are done grabbing all the hair just do a regular braid all the way down.
4. If you feel you braided it too tight, loosen it by grabbing both side of the braid and pulling it apart. This will definitely loosen the braid.
5. Then hair spray or pin or do whatever you feel necessary.

VOILA! bad hair day fixed!

Oseque Oxygen Mask's Alter Ego Philosophy The Oxygen Peel

Hello Errbody! Happy Friday (for those of you reading it on a Friday).  I wanted to write this post, cuz I really think the Oseque Oxygen Mask is really working! I got a compliment about my skin today.  My co-worker said my skin looks really good and glowy and she wanted to know if I’m doing anything different! ^__^  Yipee~~~ I love it when other people notice the difference!  Whatever the case, the most important thing is, how you feel about yourself! And I feel great!

So, I wanted to give you guys an alternative to Oseque Oxygen Mask Cleanser that I talked about yesterday.  Since Oseque is not easily attainable in the US or online.

The alternative to the Oseque Oxygen Mask Cleanser is the Philosophy Oxygen Peel.  I actually have this at home, but since it’s a two step system, I keep forgetting to use it.  Philosophy’s Oxygen Peel works with same concept as Oseque Oxygen Mask but probably a bit stronger and with extra steps.  I find myself using the Oseque Oxygen Mask on a daily basis just because I only need to put it on my face and rub it. But when I was using the Philosophy Oxygen Peel, I loved it!

Philosophy Oxygen Peel comes with catalyst enzyme capsules, and a container to mix it in and oxygen foam and a mini spatula.

1. First you must mix warm water and  the enzyme powder in the capsule.
TIP: You do not need the whole capsule.  I usually use about 1/4 of it and little less water than what they recommend.  Then I screw the capsule back tightly. It’s plenty even if you use 1/4 of it.  Mix the water and capsule by shaking the closed container.

(fyi- these pictures were taken from google.... I did not take these two pictures!)
2. Apply mixed enzyme to your face.
3. Add oxygen foam cream to your face and massage. It’ll start to interact and start foaming up.
TIP: You should use the spatula to scoop up the oxygen foam to the back of your hand before you start mixing the enzyme and foam together.  You don’t want to ruin the rest of your oxygen foam cream.  Also this oxygen foam is also known as hydrogen peroxide.  So it warns you not to put it near hairline and eyebrows.  It might lighten the hair color.
4. You can take the spatula and scrape the foam off your face or just wash it off with warm water.

Recommended usage is once a week or 3 days in a row when experiencing breakouts.

Catalyst Enzyme mixed with the Hydrogen Peroxide will help you brighten and clear your skin and Hydrogen Peroxide is supposed to help kill the bacteria on the skin.  It also contains Vitamin E to provide powerful antioxidant protection.

You can get this at Ulta, Sephora, or wherever Philosophy is sold.  But you get a much better deal at QVC.  It normally sells for $50 for 10 capsules and 2 oz oxygen foam.  But if you use the Philosophy Purity Cleanser (I highly recommend this Cleanser), it comes in 32 oz supersize with a pump, and  Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash (I highly recommend this as well) in 32 oz supersize with a pump, and Oxygen Peel with 20 capsules and 4 oz foam--- ALL FOR $102!!!

Sephora sells the Purity Wash 24 oz for $40, and the Microdelivery Exfoliator in 16 oz for $37, and the Oxygen Peel for 10 capsules and 2 oz foam for $50.  So if you happen to use all of this, it’s a much better deal at QVC.   You get more and for cheaper.

I’ll probably do another post about my regular skin regimen later.  But I use the Purity Cleanser in the mornings and the Microdelivery Exfoliator in the shower at night.  I’ve been using these two for about two years now, and I have never looked the other way to look for another cleanser/exfoliator.  I have recommended this to other people and they have loved it and thanked me for introducing these items to them.  If you are unsure about it, go to Sephora and get some samples before committing to it.

Here is a Youtube Videos about the Oxygen Peel: How to use and the benefits...

And I really didn't want to upload pictures of my nasty bumpy face while I was breaking out like crazy, but I figure I should show you guys the before and after pictures.
This picture of me with bumpy, acne scarred side of my face... this is even with make up on.  There was no hope with all these scars.

And this is now.  All the acne is gone, the bumps are much even now and my skin is on its way to recovery! Yipee!!

My happy skin!!!! ^_^

Random Ramblings...

First of all, I really didn't realize it takes a lot of prep to just one post...  I give props to all the great bloggers out there!  Seriously, you have to make sure you have pictures, links, and research all done before you can post.  Goodness... so that was my excuse for not blogging as often as I should... well that and I've been quite busy lately!

Anyhow.... on to my random ramblings for today.  There's been so many things I've been wanting to write about... but haven't had the time, so I've decided to do a mixed post about little posts that I can get out of the way so I can work on my big posts later. :)
Here we go....

1. I just want to say, my skin's been feeling muchO FABULOSO lately!!! Like this morning, I felt my face after washing it, and it felt sooooooo awesome! So soft! and I can feel my skin is breathing and so ALIVE and Radiant!!!! I may sound crazy to you, but that's how my skin and I truly felt.  And my skin has not felt like that in a REALLY REALLY LONG LONG LONG ASSS TIME!  Especially after left side of my face was breaking out non stop leaving bumpy red scars for over a month now....

So got me thinking.... why is this happening? I haven't really been doing anything different lately... then I remembered I have added two different steps to my skin regimen.

Remember I've been using Philosophy Turbo C Booster Powder?  And my mom got me this mask/cleanser/exfoliator from Korea called Oseque Oxygen Mask (It was stashed away, and I found it recently cleaning, so decided to use it... why not....)
You already know about the Turbo C Booster Powder.
So let me talk about the Oseque Oxygen Mask.

It's in a gel form.  You use it to remove make up by putting 5-6 pumps of these goodies on your DRY face and letting it sit till the foam starts to form (it forms automatically) then you start to feel tingly feeling on your face.  It tickled at first and funny, but this step supposedly is supplying oxygen to my pores.  It really did feel that way!  Then you massage your face and wash it off.  Then voila... 3 in one!
I wasn't sure if it was really working, but I'm starting to think this is what is making me feel FANTASTIC!  Also... I think the Turbo C Booster Powder has really helped in lightening my pimple scars.  The scar has almost all diminished.... But maybe it's also mixture of both of those new products!  I don't care... I'm in HEAVEN!!!  My make up felt and looked really good cuz of it! ^_^

2. My current obsession... The Body Shop Pink GrapeFruit Body Butter  ($6 for mini size)

This smells heavenly! I love it! And it's Body Butter- it's great for really dry skin!  It melts right into your skin.  But forget all that, the scent alone is AWESOME!  I'd recommend the mini size cuz it's only $6 (or 2 for $10) and they last forever and tend to change scents, if you don't use it up. And easy to carry in your bags.  The big one is a tub size! Might be too big.

(Do you like my nails?) ^__^

3. Spring Colors...

It's been really cold here in So. Cal but I feel like March is supposed to be spring!  So I've been adding coral, pinkish items to my usually dark wardrobes.  Usually scarf does the job.

In addition, I've painted my OWN nails as you can see above.  Let me just tell you, I know how to do my own makeup and hair... but one thing I can't do is paint my nails!!! So for me to do this at home, I was desperate!  I had no time to stop by my nail lady... so was forced to do it on my own before heading to my long time friend's bachelorette party.

I took off my old nail color, cut my nails, filed it, then washed my hand with moisturizing soap and scraped off the nastiness on my nails with my nails.  This makes the new coat of nails much fresher without adding all the bumpiness to your new set of nail color. Then base, color, second coat, top coat.
TIP: Make sure you start from outside in.  This means, start with pinky and work towards your thumb.  This is so you don't mess up your other nails that you've done.  Try it and you'll know what I mean.

I picked two colors and mixed it together to get the peachy coral color.  I first tried mixing it on my napkin to see what it might look like.  It obviously dries a lot faster on paper than your nails, so it's much faster to see the results if you are mixing.

I used The Face Shop Pink Color and old orangy glitter color from Beauty Credit (they used to have on in the States at Beverly Center... but not anymore)

After my base coat, and two coats of pink, then two light coats of the orange glitter, I wanted to add a little more BAM to my nails, so I added jewels to both of my ring fingers.

For sticker type jewels for your nails, you can use your tweezers and gently place them where you want it, then tap on the jewels, to make sure it's on there.  You want to do this step while your nails are not completely dried, so it adhere better.  If you are using the individual jewels (like you see at your nail place) use a dab of clear coat on a tooth pick to pick up the jewel and place it where you need it.  Then make sure you put a clear top coat!

So there's my spring nail color! Not too shabby! ^__^

I could have sworn I had more to write... but can't remember now... I promise I'll write more useful stuff more often! :)
